BV CONNECT 2022 ONLINE CONFERENCE PACKAGE

In 2022, I was added to the roster of creative artists for Laetro, a new type of agency built by creatives for creatives. They came calling for my services as a creative director and digital artist to help create a dynamic slideshow presentation, complete with motion, and a swag package for their client Bazaarvoice – a global technology company that leverages user-generated content, namely customer reviews, to bolster engagement and brand loyalty.

The online-only event was for internal stakeholders and employees of Bazaarvoice, numbering in the thousands. We had a short window, a few weeks, to complete designs including a logo package, in order to allow enough time for swag orders to be placed and online presenters to receive slideshow assets to build their unique presentations.

THE CHALLENGE

Our challenge was to show how various departments within the organization, although separate in their disciplines, they are all aligned by their mission in helping businesses grow customer loyalty. We were given the theme of Formula One Racing as a means to reflect both the client (the driver), the car (BV’s technology), and the various departments and hundreds of folks (BV’s internal team) that help make a Formula One race-car a success; pit-crew, mechanics, engineers, designers, and many more.

I had the pleasure of working with Eisner-nominated cartoonist and illustrator Travis Hanson, creator of Life of The Party. and Laura Watts, former Google senior graphic designer, to help flesh out our concepts and build out various deliverables. I even got to break out my ol’ Ae skills on this one. What a blast!

I Feel The Need For Speed

I had the thrill of bringing to life Travis Hanson’s illustrations into thrilling motion sequences packed with energy and fanfare. We were inspired by Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft and his world renowned catchphrase that he uses at the start of every F1 race, “It’s lights out and away we go!”
